Ah, how did we get second in class? admin, May 11, 2025May 11, 2025 Well, Damien and Vincy are back from their jaunt around the woods and somehow, they got second in class 11F! Oh what a fun day it was and even I’ve no idea how Jason was presenting the awards to Damien and Vincy…… The day didn’t start too well. Thanks to a poor seeding, cars were caught and somewhere between 30 and 45 seconds were lost on stage 1. That put the lads on the back foot from the start. The only solution, knuckle down and drive! Thanks to CianDon for the photo of Damien & Vincy in action. Why CianDon was taking pictures of us we’ll never know. Thanks to some fastest stage times (for class 11F), the fightback started. We fought back to second in class but in typical Red Mist fashion, a wing mirror was sacrificed (again!). In this case, it was that horrid green wing mirror cover so it may be no loss…. It wasn’t just Damien and Vincy out in class 11F. Colin Neligan was also out for a day’s jaunt and brought it home also. Again I’m “borrowing” one of CianDon’s photos….. There’s a “theory” floating around on WhatsApp as to how the Fiesta did so well. It’s something to do with the lack of Ian’s at the event. Ya, some theory alright…. So, what’s next? There’s a few small jobs to do in the shed. There’s some holidays to have and then get ready for Cork Forest Rally…. Damien Rallies
Well, that’s fixed after Killarney….. April 7, 2024 After some time spent beavering away in the shed, Bitzy is fixed after the Killarney Forest Rally. Sure we even got it on film….. We also tried to batter the yoke into shape for Carrick next weekend. We’ll see how that goes and there’s no truth in the rumour that… Read More
Roll on the whacking of the bush….. September 17, 2024September 17, 2024 Its almost time for the Red Mist venture “up north” for the Bushwhacker. In a change to last year’s event, carrots are off the menu as there’s no night stages this year (boo hoo!). However, it does mean that Bitzy won’t get to munch on plastic coated copper this year…… Read More
Bushwhacker over and a successful day it was…. September 21, 2024September 21, 2024 Well, we are loading up here in Omagh after the days trials and tribulations of the Bushwhacker. A successful day it was too. Macca finished fourth in class (48th overall) and grabbed max championship points. Damien finishes eight in class and was only a few seconds off seventh! Right now,… Read More
