Webmaster back from his holidays….

In the continued travel blog that this site has become, the web-idiot is back from his three week jaunt around central Spain…..

First stop was Avila, an old walled town that’s outside Madrid. Yeap, the walls were walked, old buildings explored and good food ate.

Then it was off to Toledo. Highlight was spotting a MK1 Primera, still sporting a full set of hub caps. It was a 2 litre and all!

Ya, more old buildings, more walking, more cycling but look at how clean that Primera is!

Then it was off to Aranjuez (poor for car spotting but the Royal Gardens were nice). Cuenca was next. There was a small bit of a climb when cycling….

The climb was worth it though….

Then off to Albarracin. Typical, I missed the bull fighting festival by two days….

Ya, it was another town hanging on to a Rock where it was walking uphill, everywhere…..

It was off to Tereul where it was more piles of stones shaped into various beautiful old buildings. Zaragoza was much the same but with slightly bigger buildings.

However, car spotting turned up another interesting “gem”.

Then it was facing for home, with a sad face on in the port of Bilbao….

Now, what’s next? Home, scrub the camper and plan the next one. Austria sounds interesting I think for next year…..
