Back from Birr Autocross…… admin, November 6, 2023January 27, 2024 The admin went for a wander “up country” to spectate at the Birr Autocross yesterday. Other Red Mist members were supposed to come along for a look but some farm work had to be done instead. Thanks to having “friends” in the Birr club, I didn’t make it past the event office as I got roped in to helping with results. As the gang in Birr club are decent skins, I couldn’t say no. The hospitality was wonderful and the chocolate orange cake was to die for…… As a result, I didn’t see a whole pile of action and managed to get only one photo. No, the Golf wasn’t competing…. The reports back was that it was a bit slippy and most definitely not a day for big power cars. Small front wheel drive cars were the weapons of choice for the day. Naturally there was some “minor cosmetic alterations” to one or two vehicles. Also, reports of a turbo intercooler pipe coming adrift was heard of in a steed piloted by a Red Mist associate member. Some nattering like old women took place with old friends also. Results can be found here https://www.stopastride.live/eventresults.php?eventid=277. Next Birr event will be the usual Turkey Chaser autotest a couple of days after Christmas. Guess who got caught to do results again….. Rallies Random

Some bright spark (the idiot webmaster) was messing in the back of the website and naturally messed it up. Now I know what you are saying. Who left that fool loose with tools? In my… Read More
We have a winner of the Red Mist Trophy…. January 1, 2026January 1, 2026 And it’s Damien & Vincy! The trophy was constructed by bolting a rather precious B16 rod & piston (it’s one Macca put a hole in) to a piece of scrap timber. We were all out at the Cork Motor Club’s Boggeragh Rallysprint and Damien & Vincy were the fastest out… Read More
