Another successful day in the woods. admin, August 11, 2025August 11, 2025 We had another successful day in the woods yesterday at Cork Forest Rally. Given the musical chairs that took place behind the scenes and the last minute deputisation, finishing was going to be considered a success….. Well, in (not so) shocking news, of course Joe & Vincy finished, and just outside the class awards also. Not bad at all for a strange car, strange navigator (he’s been called worse!) and not competing at a rally in more than a few years… As people have figured out, Mr Shinnors stepped into Damien’s shoes (and seat) to give the Fiesta a run. The day started tentatively with Joe and Vincy getting used to the car and each other. The steep learning curve was curtailed with the cancellation of stage 2. After the first service though, they started to improve. The day continued with some half decent times been posted and the odd half decent time posted again! Service was interesting due to the amount of food supplied by Anna and that ONE BLOODY WASP that took a liking to Fiona….. So, the end of the day was fourth in class, some happy faces and a Fiesta that’s currently being “temporarily looked after” in Limerick. The question is will it ever make its way back to Coachford. The one unhappy face was Macca because that green wing mirror survived the day unscathed…. Also, theres no truth in the rumour that new sign writing has been ordered in the Limerick colours…… Cars Rallies

I am lead to believe this due to shouting coming from the navigators. Yes, I said “navigators”, plural. Turns out that we’ll have Bitzy and her stablemate (more like shedmate), Damien’s Fiesty, should be there…. Read More
