Right, how to explain this….. admin, February 20, 2024 We are home from Killarney Forest Rally with a First in Class 11F and the Sligo Pallets “Drive of the day” award. The morning didn’t look like that would happen at all….. The day got better when Colin Neligan and Eoin O’Donoghue grabbed third in class 11F. That bloody Fiesta is getting quick….. Right, where to start….. I got a message at about 6 in the morning (while cramming Cork Flakes into myself) that the day was over. There was a “technical issue” with a race suit and without a fully functional race suit, no race. After a series of phone calls and a dash here and there, a replacement was found (along with the details of someone’s tab with EARS in Mallow). Right rally on….. During the day, there was some issues with a wire making its way out of the ECU which required someone to adopt an unusual position in the car in service. Yep, that’s Daniel upside down in Patrick’s seat in an attempt to reach the ECU. Damien seems to have sent the brother in law down “for a look”. He was far too nice to tell us to bugger off. Result, we roped him in to help as he seems to understand technical things like what a spanner actually does… Oh there were other issues such as a fierce banging in the back (loose jack!), electrical relays going missing, VTEC working whenever it wants (mainly on left hand bends), 2 inches of mud EVERYWHERE! and Paprika Pringles (they are officially weird)…. Ya, we are still pinching ourselves that they left us loose with the trophies and we actually won the class….. Special thanks to PI Cycles, MCG Auto Styling and O’Donovan Engineering for their help in this mad escapade…. Right. Roll on Carrig and the next piece of madness for Bitzy in the woods…… Two action shots to finish from CianDon to finish (even though Bitzy is slightly off line) Macca Rallies
Breaking news – Damage found! September 21, 2023September 26, 2023 In some breaking news, some damage has been found on a wing mirror…. Turns out our previous reports were incorrect….. At the moment, the calculators have been broken out to figure out the size of the repair bill (a dab of glue is shocking expensive). Counselling sessions have been booked… Read More
Shed update…… November 10, 2024November 10, 2024 Well, it’s about time that I fired up an update on what’s happening in the shed to the “fleet”….. First, the Fiesty. There was a slight “accident” when Damien jacked it up and the Reigers fell out. Well, they may have been “helped” out as Damien was being Damien and… Read More
Killarney Preparations November 26, 2024November 26, 2024 Preparations have begun for our visit to the Killarney Historic Rally this weekend. Preparations involved a “small” wiring job on a Mitsubishi L200. While some may think that Bitzy is bloody ancient, it’s not old enough for the Historical. So, we are going down for a look….. No doubt there’ll… Read More
