Home from Birr Autotest

Well, we are home from Birr and District Motor Club’s summer autotest and almost dry as well. The event took place in Garahy’s Garage outside Birr http://www.garahys.ie/ and their usual hospitality was laid on.

I somehow was “doing” results for the event which consisted of being stuck in the back of the parts office looking at a screen while the marshals did the hard work entering times on the StopAstride system. Full results can be found on https://www.stopastride.live/eventresults.php?eventid=252

The weather played silly bugger with the event. The multi-venue test had to be pulled as it was too waterlogged thanks to all the rain Friday and Saturday. The showers during day made it “interesting” and some competitors were probably sorry for cutting the roof off their cars.

Unfortunately, I’ve no pictures as I was stuck in the office all day (the tea and sandwiches had to be minded).
