Webmaster annual holiday report. admin, September 29, 2025September 29, 2025 Well, the “webmaster” (web idiot more like it!) is back from his annual holidays. As usual, he buggered off for a month, much to Vincy’s annoyance. Vincy needed a file for printing some stickers for an autocross and was surprised by the “see ya next month!” answer…. And, in a very surprising move, it was a trip to Germany where instead of turning north in Hamburg (as happened last year), he turned East, then South and finally West…. First thing was exploring shite jobs in Luneburg, literally…. In a nod to German humour, there was Lego Star Wars in a museum to the Hanseatic League….. Ya, it’s a nod to Copernicus. Funny lads I tell ya…. So, some time was spend wandering around Lübeck (ate me body weight in marzipan), Wismar and Rostock (called to the Stasi museum, not a nice experience). There was some “interesting” blockwork spotted on some buildings. After some time wandering around the Baltic Coast, I decided to head south to get some warmth. So, it was towards the Harz Mountains that I pointed the nose of the camper….. So, what was spotted? A crow “gently massaging” the roof of a Golf R. God love the poor detailer who has to correct this.. Something that Damien may like was spotted, an ol’ Golf in daily use… Somehow, I ended up in Wolfenbuttel. The name may ring a bell as it’s the home of Jagermeister! All I can say is that no, I didn’t drink the place dry…. The trip was not without incident however. In sad news, the gas BBQ broke…. So, 2700km was driven, some diesel was burnt and plenty of history and sights were examined. The only question I have afterwards is why cant we get 102 octane fuel at every petrol station like I could in Germany? Travels
Things are stirring….. March 2, 2025 Despite the complete lack of updates here, things have been stirring in the background. The outlines of plans are being made. Not surprisingly, they involve rallying in some sort. Things should kick off after the West Cork rally and should involve some forestry rally of some sort. Also, not surprisingly,… Read More
Killarney Preparations November 26, 2024November 26, 2024 Preparations have begun for our visit to the Killarney Historic Rally this weekend. Preparations involved a “small” wiring job on a Mitsubishi L200. While some may think that Bitzy is bloody ancient, it’s not old enough for the Historical. So, we are going down for a look….. No doubt there’ll… Read More
Start of the road trip. September 19, 2024September 19, 2024 Well, it’s the start of the road trip up north for the Bushwhacker. At the moment, there’s last minute packing (Macca would forget his head if it wasn’t attached to the rest of him) and inputting directions into Google Maps. We are numbers 85 and 88 so do wave when… Read More
